Who we are

We grew up in Patton, Missouri and attended Meadow Heights High School. Tyler joined the Navy and served from 2003-2023 as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (ABE) in Virginia, Florida, and Japan, retiring as a Navy Chief. Hilary obtained a teaching degree from SEMO, worked in the Virginia Beach Public School system briefly, and as a historical interpreter at Colonial Williamsburg before becoming a homeschool mom.

Hilary started dreaming of homesteading and whole foods while pregnant with our first child in 2010. Tyler thought she was crazy. Ten years later, while in Covid quarantine before deployment in Japan, Tyler came across Greg Judy and Joel Salatin on YouTube and started dreaming of regenerative farming. Five years later we moved back to Patton and started with 25 egg layers, 50 meat birds, and 7 cows from Greg Judy.

Being on an overseas military base during Covid showed us just how dependent we are on big corporate farms and food companies for our daily needs. It showed us how we could be manipulated and controlled by those in power. We do not want to experience that feeling of helplessness again. And we don’t want you to experience it either. We are thankful for the opportunity to provide local quality beef, pork, chicken, and eggs to give us all a little more food independence.
